About Troop 356

Purpose
Founded on the wisdom of Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will direct your paths”, Troop 356’s purpose is to help parents train and equip their daughters, through the Scouting program, to be capable Christian leaders, wives, mothers, and citizens. This training is built upon the foundation of the Bible and the Scout Oath and Law.

Scout Oath
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Vision
Troop 356 is committed to support parents in building women of integrity. It is our intent to help each young lady under our care to become a responsible wife, mother, and citizen who is guided by the Bible and the Scout Oath and Law.

Mission
Troop 356 is dedicated to a biblical worldview, serving as an instrument to guide young ladies to honor God, make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes, and experience outdoor adventure. We will deliver a quality Scouting program that honors God and equips young ladies to be prepared to live out the Scout Oath and Law.

History
